About Me

Welcome to The Secret Window, a personal view into my young heart. My name is David Caspar and I am a mixed media artist born and living in Germany.

Most of my life has always revolved around music and art. I cannot exist without art, and my art cannot exist without music.

Since my childhood, I have been longing to explain my inner feelings not just with words but with art. I felt discouraged for a very long time, as I was not able to capture the essence of my true sentiments simply by painting and drawing.

One day it all came together for me as I began putting pictures, papers, and words togehter. My creativity took it's own turn towards a new world of thoughts and emotions, I had found my passion in Collage.

My first artwork was an altered book, David's diary. My art book was so very personal and fragile, it took me many years to be willing to share it with another soul. But I finally did! This was a great step forward for me to express my heart in a different way, one which I truly love and enjoy! This is my own therapy, it lifts me up to new realms and makes my day beautiful!

Every time I do collage, I try new techniques, I break my own rules, and it turns into a whole new exciting adventure for me! I have never attended art school or for that metter ever been to an art workshop. What I have created is all of which flows from my heart.

Doing collage is my own personal journey, one which will last my lifetime.
As long as I have my emotions, my art will never end.

My wish

My wish is to be able to live in America and teach my methods of collage at various Art Conventions held throughout the year. I have made several friends in America, they are also wishing that I join them, but as of now I have no idea of how to begin the lengthy process. I have been told so many different things regarding working in the USA, the more I hear the more confusing it seems. If you or anyone knows how to help me, please email me. I would be greatly appreciative.
